About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Assist the Payroll Manager with bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll processing
  • Enter and audit payroll data
  • Review and record benefit deductions, wage garnishments, and allowances
  • Research and reconcile payroll discrepancies
  • Prepare and reconcile contribution files for remittance to third-party companies
  • Serve as the primary contact for managers and employees regarding payroll questions and issues
  • Help administer the 401(k) plan, including participant communications, enrollments, changes, and terminations
  • Support year-end closing, non-discrimination testing, audit support, and required filings including Form 5500
  • Provide benefits support as needed
  • Administer and communicate payroll terms and conditions
  • Maintain HRIS records, data integrity, and employee self-service administration
  • Ensure continuity of HRIS services to vendors
  • Modify programs to gather and report global headcount, turnover, and HR metrics
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Provide payroll oversight and develop solutions to payroll issues
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing or payroll-related experience
  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now (Payroll) and Workday (HCM)
  • Comprehensive understanding of compensation elements
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality regarding employee information
  • Exceptional time management, communication, decision-making, organization, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving, mathematical, statistical, written communication, presentation, negotiation, and facilitation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to comply with federal and state payroll laws and company rules and regulations
  • Ability to support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements
  • Ability to comply with company health and safety requirements
