About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Participate in architecture and design discussions, contributing expertise and guidance on technologies, frameworks, and tools
Participate in Agile ceremonies including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
Assist in estimation, prioritization, and planning of development tasks
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerization technologies, and Infrastructure as Code tools aligned with DevSecOps principles
Streamline deployment and management of microservices and APIs on AWS
Develop and deploy monitoring, logging, and performance optimization tools for observability and resilience
Participate in security reviews, risk assessments, and vulnerability management activities
Identify and remediate potential threats within microservices, APIs, and AWS infrastructure

Requirements

What you’ll need

US Citizenship or Green Card only - we do not offer Sponsorship
US Residency for at least the past 3 years
Able to meet the requirements to hold a position of Public Trust, including successful completion of a US Government background investigation
Ability to work independently as well as in a team
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in one or more programming languages, including Go, Python, or Typescript
Skilled in Bash scripting for task automation
Proficient in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation
Deep familiarity with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, EKS, ECS/Fargate, RDS, EventBridge, CloudFront, S3, ApiGateway, CloudWatch and WAF
Familiarity with version control systems, especially GitHub
AWS EKS / Kubernetes
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) - AWS CDK, Terraform, or CloudFormation
AWS with emphasis on VPC, Subnetting, Security Groups, IAM Roles, and Network configuration
An SRE mindset with the ability to trace an error from logs to the point in the system that needs changing
