About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Own feature development end-to-end in React applications, from application design through implementation and release
Establish and improve automated quality gates, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
Lead code reviews to raise code quality, consistency, and maintainability across client codebases
Author and maintain GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for build, test, lint, and security checks
Administer GitHub repositories, including dependency management, permissions, branch protection, and repository hygiene
Partner with client teams to improve security and quality through dependency updates, vulnerability remediation, and static analysis
Build reusable patterns and foundations, including shared components and design system integrations
Mentor and pair with engineers, including client and distributed teams, on modern React and front-end practices
Communicate technical concepts clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Learn and adapt across technologies, tools, and client platforms
Travel to two company-wide events annually
Report to an Engineering Team Lead

Requirements

What you’ll need

5+ years of software development experience
Deep experience with React and Redux (or comparable state management), including application design
Strong TypeScript experience, including integrating front ends with REST APIs and backend platforms
Experience with React unit and integration testing, and with end-to-end testing
Demonstrated code review leadership on React codebases
Experience authoring and maintaining GitHub Actions workflows and administering GitHub repositories
Experience building accessible, responsive UIs, ideally within a shared design system
Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills
Ability to work effectively across multiple projects and technologies
Experience with Vitest, Playwright, Snyk, SonarQube, Cursor or other AI-assisted development tools, Next.js, AWS or other cloud platforms, or enterprise platforms such as IBM TRIRIGA is highly valued
Comfortable leading technical conversations with client stakeholders, translating business needs into clear technical plans, setting expectations, pushing back when needed, and building client trust
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
