About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Build and own the global event calendar 12–18 months in advance
- Set the company’s strategy for trade shows, sponsorships, exhibitions, speaking opportunities, and customer conferences
- Own the portfolio budget and negotiate sponsorships and contracts
- Manage vendor and venue relationships across regions
- Lead end-to-end planning and on-site execution for international customer conferences
- Coordinate regional leaders, local vendors, and global content and speaker teams
- Ensure consistent brand and subscriber experiences while adapting to local market norms
- Align Sales, Product Marketing, Customer Success, Partnerships, and Executive Leadership around event plans
- Build scalable event systems, cadences, and playbooks
- Standardize the global event motion across focus regions
- Assemble and lead the appropriate teams for each event
- Define and report KPIs including pipeline, cost-per-meeting, engagement, retention signals, and relationship value
- Use AI and automation to improve planning, staffing, measurement, follow-up, budget modeling, and recommendations
- Reassess the event portfolio and recommend changes based on performance
- Lead, coach, and develop coordinators and external production, AV, and logistics partners
- Build relationships with regional GMs, Sales leadership, Customer Success, and Product
Requirements
What you’ll need- 8+ years in field marketing, global events, or event marketing leadership within enterprise B2B SaaS, ideally in a complex, regulated, or technical category
- Track record of owning a global, multi-region event portfolio with real pipeline/revenue accountability
- Ability to plan 12+ months ahead while remaining comfortable with on-site execution
- Experience managing international, in-person events, including vendors, cultural considerations, and logistics outside the U.S.
- Strong cross-functional influence across Sales, Product Marketing, and Executive stakeholders
- Comfort using AI tools and data for planning, budgeting, lead follow-up, and reporting
- Resilient, even-keeled presence under live-event pressure
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or equivalent experience
- Nice to have: subscription/compliance-driven or safety/sustainability-adjacent market experience
- Nice to have: familiarity with membership-association conference dynamics
- Nice to have: experience building or scaling a regional-conference model
