About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and recommend strategies aligned with the vice presidency’s strategic priorities
  • Implement, monitor, and coordinate strategies
  • Work with various departments to facilitate the delivery of initiatives and programs
  • Ensure the connections, visibility, follow-up, and communications required to achieve the vice presidency’s objectives
  • Interpret business issues and recommend strategic directions
  • Contribute to developing the vision, strategic directions, tactics, and strategies
  • Coordinate change management, communication, and engagement activities
  • Provide strategic advice to the management team and assess organizational impacts
  • Ensure the alignment, consistency, and dissemination of strategic directions and messages
  • Lead major projects, programs, and initiatives
  • Coordinate, prioritize, and monitor the portfolio of initiatives
  • Plan, prepare, and facilitate management meetings, planning sessions, and workshops
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration and share expertise

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience
  • Professional designation or master’s degree in an analytical field (AICA, ACAS, FICA, or FCAS is an asset)
  • Master of Business Administration or master’s degree in industrial relations (an asset)
  • Influential leadership, advanced change management skills, the ability to build consensus, and the ability to communicate in a way that drives engagement
  • Strong analytical, synthesis, and complex problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of the various business areas related to the insurance sector (an asset)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint
  • Fluency in spoken and written French
  • Working proficiency in spoken and written English
