About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide Beneva managers and employees with the support, training, and advice required to apply the company’s Code of Ethics
- Participate in drafting corporate policies, directives, and documents
- Review corporate documents prepared by other executive vice-presidencies from a governance perspective
- Monitor, analyze, draft, and/or provide recommendations regarding governance, corporate law, ethics, and ESG factors
- Participate in internal follow-ups arising from regulators’ monitoring reports and prepare the appropriate accountability reports
- Document Beneva’s internal governance with the various executive vice-presidencies
- Ensure the consistency, distribution, and updating of institutional documents submitted to the Board of Directors and/or Executive Committee
- Participate in the development and implementation of the organization’s programs and projects involving the Legal Department
- Act as secretary for Beneva committees and other governing bodies, as needed
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Law
- Member in good standing of the Bar
- At least seven (7) years of experience in governance, ethics, and/or corporate law
- Excellent command of French, both written and spoken
- Advanced proficiency in English, both written and spoken
