About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage and optimize the value of BeOne’s alliances across research, development, and commercialization
  • Ensure both parties adhere to partnership agreement terms and position BeOne as a partner of choice
  • Hire and develop alliance managers as business needs require
  • Own and be accountable for global strategic alliances and achievement of key alliance goals
  • Oversee partnership agreement execution, governance committees, and working group meetings
  • Define alliance kickoff and implementation direction, scope, activities, timing, and responsibilities with partner companies
  • Communicate with partner alliance management counterparts and key partner stakeholders
  • Identify and address legal, business, and relationship-management risks
  • Conduct regular alliance audits and health checks
  • Participate in external partnering events and conferences
  • Liaise with Business Development, Legal, Finance, Clinical Development, Commercial, and other functions
  • Provide timely information and updates to management
  • Monitor adherence to research, development, and commercialization plans and ensure execution
  • Build relationships with senior leaders and communicate key alliance value inflection points
  • Formulate team recommendations and drive alignment with stakeholders
  • Lead or participate in contract renegotiations and new partner contract negotiations
  • Build expertise about partner companies and serve as BeOne’s internal expert
  • Participate in alliance management group meetings to review progress, address issues, and share best practices
  • Supervise staff

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of 14+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industry, life sciences, or a related industry
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in alliance management
  • Minimum of a BA/BS is required
  • Experience in drug development
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, prioritize, and resolve key project and partnership issues
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, project management excellence, and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate input and manage competing demands from multiple internal and external stakeholders; must be comfortable working through ambiguity
  • Participation in development and life cycle management project teams
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus
