About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Manage all aspects of global Contract Manufacturing partnerships
Drive productivity through strategic initiatives with Contract Manufacturers
Ensure innovation, manufacturing performance, cost objectives and quality goals are met at CMOs
Manage business relationships with contract manufacturers and negotiate solutions
Support commercial launches and new market launches
Develop and maintain CMO management governance structures, communication matrices and standard templates
Address supply chain and quality issues through root cause analysis, corrective actions and mitigation plans
Coordinate cross-functional resolution of elevated issues
Develop and maintain CMO KPIs
Oversee monthly actual-to-budget cost variances and drive cost improvements
Promote contract manufacturing production efficiency
Support negotiation of CMO contracts, amendments and renewals
Lead project management for multiple complex commercial and operational excellence project teams
Manage new product and new market launch activities related to supply chain
Monitor milestones, project execution and launch-plan deviations
Facilitate project communications and documentation
Organize corrective actions and resolve project issues
Ensure project work complies with established practices, policies and processes
Assist in creating Standard Operating Procedures
Interface with all levels of management

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field
7+ years’ experience within biopharmaceutical/pharmaceutical CMC development, GMP and regulatory requirements
Strong manufacturing and operational knowledge in the pharmaceutical industry
Ability to collaborate and influence in cross-functional areas internally and externally
In-depth knowledge and skill with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and other reporting/tracking tools
Ability to attend early morning or evening meetings due to the global nature of the company
Willingness to travel 20%
