About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor field projects and ensure installations comply with company standards and project specifications
  • Assist Foremen with job planning, material ordering, and manpower planning
  • Schedule labor and monitor labor efficiencies, hours, ratios, and projected labor needs
  • Track material costs, storage, consumption, and orders to minimize costs and overruns
  • Prepare, review, distribute, and maintain installation documentation
  • Ensure company policies and guidelines are followed
  • Coordinate with the Inspection Department, inspectors, and utility companies for job completion
  • Monitor and address safety hazards with Foremen and site management
  • Provide technical support and maintain communication with Foremen and site management
  • Monitor codes, specifications, installation methods, systems, and equipment
  • Attend meetings with General Superintendent, company management, contractors, Foremen, and others
  • Interact with clients, contractors, management, and employees while promoting positive customer service and work environments
  • Walk projects to review installation methods and quality of work

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience/knowledge of electrical construction as a Superintendent or in a similar position in Commercial, Institutional and Industrial environments
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction, including technology, equipment, and methods
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • State Journeyman License may be required
  • Forklift Certificate, Ramset and Scissor Lift, Confined Space, Trenching, Scaffolding, and Fall Protection Certificates preferred; or general knowledge of these classes required
  • CPR and First Aid Competent Person Certified
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to present self professionally and represent the company image
  • Demonstrated leadership and project success
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Organized
  • Advanced ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
  • In-depth knowledge of NFPA codes
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to utilize ladders, man lifts, or reach booms
