About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare lessons using provided material and customize instruction based on each student's needs
- Create a risk-free environment where students can make mistakes and experiment with the language
- Document student progress after each lesson
- Use the Berlitz Method of instruction
- Motivate students to achieve their language goals
- Provide 15-20 hours of instruction per week based on availability
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Teaching experience is a plus but not required
- Expert-level Portuguese
- Advanced level English
- Exceptional communication skills
- Commitment to providing 15-20 hours per week
- Minimum 15 Mbps download and upload speed
- Stable wired internet connection; Wi-Fi is not sufficient
- PC or laptop running Windows 11 or higher, or macOS 11 or higher; Linux does not support the applications
- USB headset and camera
- Backup system for devices where load shedding occurs
- Minimum 2 GHz base processing speed
- RAM equal to or above 8 GB
