About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Join BLB&G’s Securities Litigation team in the New York office
- Litigate securities fraud matters on behalf of the firm’s institutional investor clients
- Represent investors in complex securities fraud actions
- Develop potential legal claims and litigation strategy
- Work toward precedent-setting reforms that increase market transparency
- Hold wrongdoers accountable and improve corporate business practices
- Participate in high-profile securities cases and recovery actions
Requirements
What you’ll need- JD is required (2020-2024 law school graduates preferred)
- Must be admitted to the New York Bar and/or the California Bar
- Related experience, primarily in securities litigation, class actions, or other complex litigation experience is required
- Strong academic and professional credentials required
- Judicial clerkships are a plus
- Excellent writing and legal research skills
- Strong financial literacy is required
- Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive approach
- Desire to represent investors rather than corporations
- Ability and desire to take a meaningful role in multiple complex cases, often opposite significantly more senior lawyers
- Excellent time management, multitasking and communication skills
