About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Collaborate with people at all levels to support supply-chain strengthening initiatives
  • Contribute to major operational initiatives across the distribution network
  • Support automation and material-handling implementation through cross-site collaboration, analysis, and project involvement
  • Evaluate existing processes and identify improvement opportunities
  • Develop new approaches supporting operational growth and efficiency
  • Build analyses in Excel and communicate findings clearly to varied audiences
  • Conduct distribution-operations analyses and projects, taking on increasing ownership over time
  • Perform warehouse time studies and develop flow charts
  • Test system enhancements and train others
  • Develop activity-based costing and labor models
  • Support warehouse management system implementations
  • Design new facilities
  • Implement new automation and material-handling solutions
  • Collaborate with team members in person and virtually
  • Travel to other facilities and implementation sites as needed
  • Engage with vendors and explore equipment and solutions at trade shows and industry conferences

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in industrial engineering, supply chain operations, or a related technical field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience working with complex formulas
  • Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing conditions
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across functions and levels of the organization
  • Experience leading or supporting cross-functional projects preferred
  • Experience working with external vendors preferred
  • Experience implementing or supporting warehouse management systems preferred
  • Experience implementing or supporting automation systems and material handling equipment preferred
  • Experience training others preferred
  • Experience extracting, analyzing, and summarizing large data sets to communicate findings clearly preferred
  • This is an onsite role, Monday through Friday
  • Some non-standard and weekend work is expected during system implementations
  • Travel is required as needed based on project work, including possible visits to other facilities and implementation sites
  • Attendance at trade shows and industry conferences may be required
  • Ability to work in the United States, as the role is located in Westminster, Maryland
