About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead strategic procurement operations supporting defense and government initiatives
  • Collaborate with Programs, Finance, Contracts, and Engineering to align procurement activities with program requirements and schedules
  • Address complex supply chain challenges for the Department of War and Intelligence Community
  • Develop and present strategic sourcing plans, including supplier selection, risk assessments, and performance reviews
  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle from planning through closeout in accordance with company policies, FAR, and DFARS
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Conduct market research, supplier qualification, source selection, and cost/price reasonableness evaluations
  • Use purchasing and ERP systems to create and manage purchase orders
  • Maintain accurate procurement files and documentation
  • Recommend and implement procurement process improvements
  • Communicate with internal customers, partners, and stakeholders about order status, changes, and returns

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree + 5 years of Federal procurement, purchasing, or contracting experience (or Master's degree + 3 years)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (for which US Citizenship is required)
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiations and supplier management
  • Experience with FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulations
  • Knowledge of ITAR/EAR export controls and counterfeit parts prevention practices
  • Strong business judgment and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness to expand expertise across other areas of Supply Chain and Contracts
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools and willingness to apply AI to Contracts and Supply Chain processes
