About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the end-to-end processing of mortgage loan applications and ensure required documents are collected and accurate
  • Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, processors, and closing departments to facilitate efficient workflows
  • Organize and maintain loan files in compliance with regulations and company policies
  • Verify and validate client-provided documents and information
  • Serve as the primary client contact, providing application updates and addressing inquiries
  • Communicate with external stakeholders, including real estate agents and title companies, to coordinate closings
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to minimize errors and ensure accurate loan documentation
  • Monitor and manage the loan pipeline to meet closing deadlines
  • Provide status updates to relevant parties
  • Identify and resolve issues during the loan application process
  • Provide administrative support and maintain accurate records in the loan management system
  • Promote interdepartmental communication, company values, ownership, independent judgment, urgency, and service quality

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field
  • Minimum five years of experience in mortgage, or a closely related supporting role within a deadline-driven lending environment
  • Proactive and empowered, with the ability to think independently and act with urgency
  • High integrity and a service-first, team-oriented mindset
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
  • Detail-oriented, accurate, and familiar with mortgage software and documentation tools
  • Must currently reside within commuting distance of the Kansas City office
  • Relocation candidates are not being considered at this time
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
