About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide clinical expertise and therapy services through BetterHelp’s online telehealth platform
Conduct scheduled live sessions and communicate through shared journals, audio and video messages, clinical worksheets, and goal setting/tracking
Establish a full clinical caseload through consistent referrals
Focus on clinical work while BetterHelp handles client acquisition, billing, support, and operations
Exercise autonomy over clinical decisions and select clinically appropriate approaches
Work with clients matched to specific areas of expertise and presenting concerns
Maintain privacy and confidentiality using secure, encrypted phone, video, and text-based communication

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience (required)
Master’s degree (required)
Full independent clinical license, such as LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, Psychologist, or PsyD
Fully licensed by a State Board to provide therapy independently and without supervision
Experience counseling adults, couples, and/or teens
Private and professional environment for conducting sessions
Excellent written communication
Professional liability insurance
Reliable Internet connection
Currently residing in the US
Not an intern and does not require supervision to provide therapy services
Not a substance abuse counselor, school counselor, registered nurse, career counselor, Christian counselor, or business coach unless holding an additional mental health counselor license
