About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide clinical expertise and therapy through BetterHelp’s online therapy platform
Conduct scheduled live sessions and communicate through journal entries, audio and video messages, clinical worksheets, and goal setting/tracking
Establish a full clinical caseload through consistent referrals
Focus on clinical work while BetterHelp handles client acquisition, billing, support, and operations
Exercise autonomy over clinical decisions and treatment approaches
Work with clients matching specific expertise, populations, or presenting concerns
Provide therapy using secure, encrypted phone, video, and text-based communication

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience (required)
Master’s degree (required)
Full independent clinical license, such as LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, Psychologist, or PsyD
Fully licensed by a State Board to provide therapy independently and without supervision
Experience counseling adults, couples, and/or teens
Private and professional environment for conducting sessions
Excellent written communication
Professional liability insurance
Reliable Internet connection
Currently residing in the US
Not an intern or provider requiring supervision
Substance abuse counselors, school counselors, registered nurses, career counselors, Christian counselors, and business coaches are not accepted unless they have an additional mental health counselor license
