About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide clinical expertise and therapy services through BetterHelp’s online telehealth platform
Establish and manage a full clinical caseload through consistent referrals
Conduct scheduled live sessions and communicate through shared journals, audio and video messages, clinical worksheets, and formal goal setting and tracking
Exercise autonomous clinical judgment regarding effective and clinically appropriate approaches for each client
Work with clients matching specific areas of expertise and presenting concerns
Focus on clinical work while BetterHelp handles client acquisition, billing, support, and operations
Maintain privacy and confidentiality using secure, encrypted communications

Requirements

What you’ll need

3+ years of experience (Required)
Master’s degree (Required)
Full independent clinical license accepted, such as LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, Psychologist, or PsyD
Must be fully licensed by a State Board to provide therapy independently and without supervision
Experience counseling adults, couples, and/or teens
Private and professional environment for conducting sessions
Excellent written communication
Must have professional liability insurance
Reliable Internet connection
Currently residing in the US
Must not be an intern or require supervision to provide therapy services
Substance abuse counselors, school counselors, registered nurses, career counselors, Christian counselors, and business coaches are not accepted unless they have an additional mental health counselor license
