About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct video consultations and communicate with patients through telemedicine
- Assess, screen, diagnose, and prescribe medication when clinically appropriate
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs
- Coordinate treatment planning and care delivery with BetterHelp’s network of licensed therapists
- Deliver empathetic, high-quality care while upholding BetterHelp’s clinical and service standards
- Share feedback with product, engineering, and operations teams to improve the provider and patient experience
- Make clinical decisions independently in accordance with applicable state telehealth laws, regulations, and professional standards
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least one year of experience as a licensed Psychiatrist
- Active medical license (MD/DO) in good standing
- Experience prescribing medication when clinically appropriate and permitted by applicable state law
- Confidence using technology and online tools to deliver virtual care
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach
- Previous telemedicine experience (preferred)
- Active medical licenses in multiple states (preferred)
- Fluency in additional languages (preferred)
- Medical License required
- Must be located in the United States
