About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and own the core infrastructure of the proprietary Next.js frontend
Define project structure, build pipeline, environment/configuration strategy, and deployment architecture
Implement multi-brand and multi-tenant architecture using feature flags and per-brand configuration
Own the mobile wrapper strategy and define integration between web APIs and native capabilities
Coordinate with native specialists or third-party plugins when deep native work is required
Collaborate on multi-brand binary distribution using Fastlane, Xcode Schemes, and Gradle Flavors
Define the Next.js rendering strategy for mobile-embedded contexts using static exports and edge API consumption
Decouple business logic, state management, and networking from the UI layer
Establish technical decisions for state management, real-time odds/events data streaming, and frontend testing
Implement compliant anti-spoofing geolocation for regulated betting
Ensure compliance with app store requirements for regulated/betting apps
Define safe OTA update and version-control strategies for live user sessions
Integrate observability tooling such as Sentry and Datadog to correlate native and JavaScript errors
Build for reliability and resilience through graceful degradation, monitoring, and recovery paths
Drive frontend performance work, including Core Web Vitals and Lighthouse optimization
Partner with DevOps on frontend CI/CD, build pipelines, and environment strategies
Define frontend technical standards, tooling, and best practices
Integrate with backend and third-party systems at the infrastructure level
Partner with Developer Leadership and Infrastructure & Security on AWS, security, and cost optimization standards
Document architectural decisions and infrastructure setup

Requirements

What you’ll need

8+ years of software engineering experience
Ownership of foundational architecture for a high-traffic, real-money or high-stakes platform
Strong hands-on experience architecting and shipping production Next.js applications at scale
Experience designing multi-tenant or multi-brand frontend architectures, including feature flags, per-tenant configuration, and shared codebase strategies
Familiarity with mobile wrappers such as Capacitor and how web and native contexts interact
Experience implementing anti-spoofing/mock-location detection geolocation on mobile
Experience with OTA update tooling such as Capgo, Ionic Appflow, or similar
Experience designing reliability and resilience for high-stakes, regulated production systems
Comfort with deployment architecture, environment strategy, and build tooling
Strong ownership mentality
Comfort working with AI-assisted development tools
Basic experience or familiarity with native iOS (Swift) or Android (Kotlin) development or plugin creation is a bonus
Familiarity with AWS, CI/CD, and app store releases is a bonus
Prior gaming, betting, or fintech industry experience is a bonus
Written and spoken English or Portuguese communication skills are a bonus
Experience leading or mentoring teams is a bonus
