About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Define and prioritize the product backlog, considering business and customer value, risks, and development effort
- Understand user problems and needs by working with customers and business teams
- Turn problems into product opportunities and requirements
- Define requirements, business rules, workflows, user stories, acceptance criteria, and exception scenarios with Business and Engineering
- Work closely with the Engineering team on solutions, integrations, APIs, data flows, and technical impacts
- Ensure shared understanding among Product, Engineering, and stakeholders
- Investigate incidents and unexpected behavior by reviewing application flows, querying data, analyzing requests, and examining technical evidence
- Validate deliveries against business rules, acceptance criteria, and the expected user experience
- Communicate the vision, objectives, context, priorities, and expected outcomes to the squad and stakeholders
- Manage the value stream, balancing product evolution, operational needs, technical improvements, and regulatory requirements in alignment with the company’s strategy
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field
- Ability to translate business problems into clear functional and technical requirements for Engineering
- Basic knowledge of software development, including front-end and back-end applications, APIs, system integration, development/staging/production environments, and error handling
- Experience with API analysis and testing tools such as Postman or Swagger/OpenAPI
- Knowledge of SQL for data analysis and investigation, including SELECT, WHERE, JOIN, filters, sorting, and aggregations
- Knowledge of databases and data structures to understand entities and relationships and investigate information related to product behavior
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban
- Strong analytical, communication, critical-thinking, and negotiation skills
- Experience with financial products, digital banks, and payment accounts
- Preferred: experience with Pix, boleto issuance, Banking as a Service, or financial infrastructure
- Preferred: knowledge of asynchronous integrations, queues, webhooks, and event processing
- Preferred: knowledge of regulated products or operations within financial institutions
