About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical leadership across a portfolio with a genuinely diverse range of technology stacks, guiding architecture, incident prioritization, and standardization across repositories
Make architectural decisions involving Quarkus/Java 17, Spring Boot/Java 21, NestJS/TypeScript, React, and React Native
Prioritize incidents and backlog items based on the business impact of each area
Guide the use of MongoDB and SQL Server as key data stores across different parts of the backend
Propose and lead standardization initiatives across repositories, including UI kits, routing, form validation, state management, and CI pipelines
Serve as a technical reference for AWS cloud architecture decisions, including SQS versus synchronous calls, S3 access policies, and sizing and scalability in Kubernetes/Helm
Lead the adoption and expansion of code quality tools, such as SonarQube and Qodana, across repositories

Requirements

What you’ll need

Strong experience with microservices architecture in Java (Quarkus and/or Spring Boot)
Knowledge of Node.js/NestJS
Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server and MongoDB)
Experience with AWS (object storage, queues/asynchronous processing, and related services), Docker, and Kubernetes/Helm
Experience leading technical standardization across teams and/or repositories
Experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI) and static code analysis tools
Familiarity with AI agents and tools as development and code review accelerators (a plus)
