About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Design, develop, and evolve data architectures on Microsoft Fabric using Lakehouse, Data Factory/Pipelines, Notebooks, OneLake, and other platform components
  • Develop data ingestion, transformation, and serving pipelines from multiple sources, especially Oracle Cloud, APIs, and Snowflake
  • Implement ETL/ELT processes using SQL, Python, and PySpark, including incremental loads, error handling, reprocessing, traceability, and quality validations
  • Build and evolve Lakehouse and Medallion architectures (Bronze, Silver, and Gold), ensuring scalability, data quality, and governance
  • Develop data models and analytical structures aligned with business needs, including dimensional modeling and Star Schema
  • Monitor pipelines, loads, and Microsoft Fabric environments, identifying bottlenecks and optimizing performance, capacity, and resource consumption
  • Analyze and resolve incidents, perform troubleshooting, and identify root causes related to data processes
  • Implement security, governance, and access control practices, including RBAC/RLS and secure credential and secret management
  • Contribute to defining technical standards, development best practices, documentation, and the evolution of the data architecture
  • Collaborate with international teams, technical departments, and business stakeholders in a collaborative, distributed environment

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Intermediate or advanced Spanish proficiency
  • Solid experience as a Data Engineer / Senior Data Engineer
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
  • Knowledge of the main Fabric components: OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Factory/Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Warehouse, and Notebooks
  • Experience with Python, PySpark, and SQL applied to data engineering
  • Experience with Delta Lake, Parquet, and Medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes, incremental loads, error handling, reprocessing, and data quality
  • Experience integrating and ingesting data from different sources, especially Oracle Cloud/OCI, APIs, and Snowflake
  • Knowledge of dimensional modeling, Star Schema, and analytical structures
  • Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the performance of data pipelines and loads
  • Knowledge of security, governance, access control, and secret management in cloud environments
  • Ability to work autonomously, take ownership, and interface with technical and business teams
  • Certifications related to Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Engineer, Power BI, or Snowflake (a plus)
  • Experience with Fabric Capacity and consumption/cost optimization (a plus)
  • Experience with Dataflows Gen2 and Fabric Warehouse (a plus)
  • Knowledge of Azure Key Vault, RBAC, RLS, and cloud security practices (a plus)
  • Experience with CI/CD, Git, Azure DevOps, and DataOps practices (a plus)
  • Experience with Power BI and semantic models (a plus)
  • Experience working on international projects and with distributed teams (a plus)
  • Experience with high-volume data environments and scalable architectures (a plus)
