About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define, architect, enhance, and maintain technology used by provider and operations teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Use modern open-source technologies such as TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and Node.js to architect, implement, test, and maintain critical product features.
  • Collaborate with product managers, physicians, nurse practitioners, and other staff to define and build patient-care solutions.
  • Work across the stack, including web interfaces, datastores, and cloud infrastructure, to solve problems and complete projects.
  • Deliver value to users reliably, repeatedly, and transparently.
  • Embrace Lean Startup behaviors and simplify decisions, technology, and processes.
  • Build relationships with teammates, managers, and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Uphold engineering standards and consistency across codebases and processes.
  • Mentor, develop, and oversee less experienced engineers.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 or more years of experience building, shipping, and maintaining scalable web applications and backend services.
  • Leading and owning end-to-end projects with significant web application backend deliverables.
  • Experience building commercial-grade web applications with modern, open-source, cloud technologies.
  • Expertise in API design and writing data persistence layers.
  • Experience with iterative agile delivery of applications, CI/CD and writing highly maintainable code.
  • Experience with mentoring, developing and overseeing the work of less experienced engineers.
  • Consistent access to a private work environment with high speed internet and professionally appropriate surroundings for frequent video conferencing and a workstation setup conducive to remote work needs.
  • Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and physically reside within the US.
