About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Organize and manage the operation of the global Citrix environment—including Virtual Apps and Desktops, Provisioning Services, and StoreFront/Workspace—across centralized and decentralized environments
Build a new Citrix farm, from architecture and implementation through handover to standard operations
Analyze and resolve 2nd-level incidents sustainably, while documenting root causes and remediation measures in a clear and traceable manner
Plan, implement, and standardize platform services for desktop and application delivery, golden images, resources, load balancing, high availability, and lifecycle management
Develop concepts with specialist teams, evaluate and introduce technologies, and strengthen team knowledge through reviews, best practices, and coaching

Requirements

What you’ll need

Several years of experience operating Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops in SMB or enterprise environments
Hands-on experience with Citrix Provisioning Services, image management, vDisk updates, target devices, and troubleshooting
Excellent understanding of desktop and application sessions, including the logon process, profile management, performance, and error analysis
Experience with virtualization, storage, and networking in Citrix environments
Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy
Experience planning lifecycles and upgrades, including Citrix versions, Windows updates, compatibility, and change management
Very good command of German and English
Willingness to travel for 2 to 6 weeks per year
