About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead product development projects from concept and planning through industrialization and production readiness
- Drive projects according to Vaisala’s established development process
- Ensure projects meet agreed objectives, schedules, and quality requirements
- Keep stakeholders aligned and engaged throughout the project lifecycle
- Lead a cross-functional project team
- Collaborate with product management, manufacturing, sourcing, regulatory specialists, marketing, and other stakeholders
- Coordinate closely with R&D and manufacturing teams at the Vantaa site
- Bring physical measurement instruments to scaled production for demanding industrial applications
Requirements
What you’ll need- 1–2 years of project management experience
- Background in product development, manufacturing, industrial projects, or another technical environment involving physical products
- Degree in engineering, technology, or business supports success in the role
- Fluent English
- Finnish language skills are a plus
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Structured way of working
- Ability to balance different priorities and build alignment across teams
- Solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to take ownership, adapt when plans evolve, and drive projects to completion
- Must apply in English or Finnish
- Relocation support to Finland is unavailable
