About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services supporting Binance Pay and Card products
Build scalable APIs and microservices for payment processing, transaction management, merchant services, and related financial workflows
Participate in developing distributed systems handling high-volume and latency-sensitive transactions
Work with databases, caching systems, message queues, and infrastructure components to improve performance and reliability
Implement transaction workflows with retries, idempotency, concurrency, and failure handling
Assist with troubleshooting production issues using logs, metrics, tracing, and root-cause analysis
Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and participate in code reviews
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
Contribute to system reliability, observability, security, and engineering practices
Collaborate with backend engineers, product managers, QA engineers, and cross-functional teams to build reliable, secure, scalable payment services
Work on backend systems powering crypto and fiat payment experiences for users and merchants globally

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and computer science fundamentals
Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Java, Go, C++, Python, or a similar language
Understanding of relational databases and SQL, including indexes, transactions, and database design fundamentals
Familiarity with RESTful APIs, HTTP, networking, and client-server architecture
Understanding of operating systems, concurrency, and common backend engineering concepts
Ability to write clear, maintainable code and reason systematically about technical problems
Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a fast-moving engineering environment
Current university students and recent graduates may apply
