About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Collaborate with developers, product managers, customer support, and partners to ensure high-quality product delivery
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement
- Design, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts
- Perform manual and automated testing for backend systems, APIs, databases, and distributed services
- Identify, analyze, track, and report defects, including root cause analysis of failures
- Conduct testing for new features and document test scenarios and expected behaviors
- Advocate QA best practices and improve overall test coverage and product quality
- Perform performance, security, and scalability testing for backend services
- Lead big data QA testing, automation framework setup, data comparison scripts, and release process improvements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 7 years of QA engineering experience, with strong expertise in backend testing and automation
- Hands-on experience in manual and automated testing across the full testing lifecycle
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript, with experience in automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG
- Strong knowledge of APIs, databases, microservices, CI/CD, and SDLC
- Familiarity with QA efficiency tools, AI/LLM, performance testing, and security testing
- Experience with StarRocks, Kafka, and big data QA environments is a plus
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Fluent in English with good communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with Jira, TestRail, or Zephyr, and familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, or Kubernetes preferred
