About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage assigned patient cases related to reimbursement and coordinate the NavieGo branch
- Serve as the single point of contact for assigned healthcare providers
- Facilitate the entire patient journey and communication between involved parties
- Coordinate and manage prescription drug coverage applications
- Complete and submit documents and paperwork to insurance companies and public funding programs accurately and on time
- Coordinate cases with insurance companies, physicians’ offices, and healthcare professionals
- Coordinate clinic appointments and drug deliveries within required timelines
- Support and guide patients and healthcare providers throughout the reimbursement process
- Build trust-based relationships with patients and healthcare providers
- Implement best practices to maximize patient access to drug coverage
- Coordinate pharmacy processes after funding is obtained
- Apply knowledge of public and private funding systems
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline reimbursement processes and improve efficiency
- Continuously improve the patient experience and satisfaction with reimbursement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
- Qualified Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Registered Practical Nurse with valid license strongly preferred
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer/client service and health care reimbursement
- Prior oncology experience preferred
- Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industry is an asset
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
- Proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications, including Word, Excel, and Google Apps
- Ability to work rotating shifts Monday through Friday between 8 AM and 8 PM
- Regular scheduled hours are 9:00am–5:00pm EDT
- English proficiency required
- French proficiency may be required depending on the role, location, and business needs
