About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead planning, storyboarding, and execution of high-quality video content across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Xiaohongshu (XHS).
  • Develop and own creative concepts aligned with brand storytelling and campaign objectives.
  • Set visual direction and ensure content reflects BJAK’s tone, style, and brand identity.
  • Produce corporate storytelling and fast-turnaround social videos.
  • Edit raw footage into polished videos optimized for multiple platforms.
  • Perform color correction, sound design, motion graphics, and subtitling.
  • Manage multiple projects and establish editing standards for visual coherence.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Marketing, Social Media, designers, copywriters, strategists, videographers, and editors.
  • Support weekly short-form and long-form content production cycles.
  • Oversee media management, equipment setup, file optimization, export, archiving, troubleshooting, and backups.
  • Stay updated on video trends, editing tools, and visual effects techniques.
  • Experiment with storytelling techniques, visual styles, editing styles, and formats to improve engagement and retention.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Film, Multimedia, Communications, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in video editing or related creative production.
  • Strong portfolio or showreel showcasing diverse video styles and storytelling techniques.
  • Skilled in camera operations, lighting setups, and audio recording.
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop (or equivalent tools).
  • Strong understanding of storytelling, visual pacing, and transitions.
  • Knowledge of aspect ratios, compression, and file formats for digital platforms.
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, video algorithms, and content optimization.
  • Strong sense of visual storytelling, composition, pacing, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong English communication is required.
