About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Build and ship systems that automate satellite operations
Process large-scale geospatial datasets
Support real-world missions spanning defence, climate, and commercial applications
Design and deliver systems across the satellite imagery and geospatial data pipeline
Work on discovery, distribution, analysis, visualisation, commercialisation, and operational management of spatial data
Address data acquisition, management, and analysis through research, development, and implementation
Partner with clients and stakeholders to ensure deployments work as expected and provide value
Maintain, extend, and update API designs and implementations
Maintain visual web interfaces and ensure their accuracy and ease of use
Assist in designing, planning, and implementing new platform and system features
Handle customer enquiries and platform issues to plan remediation
Review and remediate platform features to improve user experience and clarity
Advise and mentor other developers and team members

Requirements

What you’ll need

NV1 or better security clearance required
4+ years relevant experience in back end software engineering
Strong experience building scalable, API-driven applications
Solid understanding of backend architecture and distributed systems
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Experience with Go (Golang) preferred
Experience with geospatial intelligence data preferred
Exposure to data processing pipelines or large datasets preferred
Knowledge of server side rendering techniques for content servicing preferred
Qualifications in software, physics, mathematics, or other relevant fields may be an advantage for some applicants
