About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support engineering teams under general supervision by performing technical tasks
- Create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables
- Continue learning and remain current on standards, systems, document control, departmental guides, and company policies and procedures
- Apply knowledge of the BV Quality Program to ensure deliverables are accurate and compliant
- Support continuous improvement and change management efforts
- Evaluate and improve methods, processes, and procedures used to accomplish deliverables
- Create and develop deliverables based on various design inputs
- Perform basic computations such as material quantity estimates and dimensional checks
- Coordinate deliverables with other project groups to minimize interference or errors
- Focus on internal client needs while developing an understanding of external client interests and drivers
- Seek and share knowledge of the latest technologies and processes
- May provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineering technicians
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically a minimum of 2 years related work experience
- Diploma or Certificate preferred
- Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Intermediate understanding of engineering principles and practices
- Familiarity with digital tools and design software such as CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling
