About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support engineering teams under general supervision by performing technical tasks
Use digital tools and design software to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables
Learn and remain current on standards, systems, document control, departmental guides, and company policies and procedures
Apply knowledge of the BV Quality Program to ensure deliverables are accurate and compliant
Support continuous improvement and change management efforts
Evaluate and improve methods, processes, and procedures used to accomplish deliverables
Create and develop deliverables based on a variety of design inputs
Perform basic computations such as material quantity estimates and dimensional checks
Coordinate deliverables with other project groups to minimize interference or errors
Focus on internal client needs and develop an understanding of external client interests and drivers
Proactively seek and share knowledge of the latest technologies and processes
May provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineering technicians

Requirements

What you’ll need

Typically a minimum of 2 years related work experience
Intermediate understanding of engineering principles and practices
Experience or ability to use digital tools and design software such as CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling
Ability to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables
Ability to perform basic computations such as material quantity estimates and dimensional checks
Diploma or Certificate preferred
Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred
Must complete applicable pre-employment onboarding requirements if selected, which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search
