About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical support to engineering teams under close supervision
Use CAD, BIM, 3D modeling, and other digital tools to assist with technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables
Participate in evaluating methods used for deliverable development and design activities
Learn and apply standards, systems, document control, departmental guides, and company policies and procedures
Ensure deliverables are accurate and compliant with the BV Quality Program
Support continuous improvement and change management efforts
Modify and develop less complex deliverables from various design inputs
Assist with material quantity estimates and dimensional checks
Coordinate deliverables with other project groups to minimize interference or errors
Develop understanding of internal client needs and external client interests
Seek and share knowledge of current technologies and processes

Requirements

What you’ll need

Diploma or Certificate preferred
Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred
Minimum of 1 year related work experience
Must complete applicable pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search
Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices
Ability to use digital tools and design software such as CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling
Ability to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables
Ability to perform minor computations such as material quantity estimates and dimensional checks
Ability to follow standards, systems, document control, departmental guides, and company policies and procedures
