About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide technical support to engineering teams under close supervision
- Apply engineering standards, systems, document control, departmental guides, and company policies and procedures
- Create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables
- Support deliverable accuracy and compliance with the company Quality Program
- Participate in continuous improvement and change management efforts
- Modify and develop less complex deliverables based on varied design inputs
- Assist with material quantity estimates and dimensional checks
- Assist in coordinating deliverables with other project groups to minimize interference or errors
- Develop an understanding of internal clients’ needs and external clients’ interests and drivers
- Seek and share knowledge of current technologies and processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Typically a minimum of 1 year related work experience
- Basic understanding of engineering principles and practices
- Ability to use digital tools and design software such as CAD, BIM, and 3D modeling
- Ability to create, modify, and maintain technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables
- Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search
- Diploma or certificate preferred
- Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred
