About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform assignments supporting construction activities across construction groups
- Build spreadsheets and analyze trends
- Communicate information to site staff and departments
- Travel to construction sites and assist with field operations
- Assist with project controls, cost tracking, and schedule development
- Assist field staff in facilitation, inspections, project controls, safety, and other operational areas
- Assist with construction estimates and pre-planning safety and health activities
- Audit construction activities for compliance with safety and health requirements
- Execute safety and health program elements
- Perform shop inspections with the quality group
- Review codes and requirements
- Assist with material applications and procurement logistics
- Package construction subcontracts and work with site materials management
- Support home-office startup through proposal preparation, commodity evaluations, and spreadsheet tool development
- Support field startup through progress tracking, cost evaluations, turnover package development, system walkdowns, and punch-list maintenance
- Perform other assignments requested by construction management
- Analyze and communicate assignment results
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must have a Construction degree from a recognized ABET-accredited program in the home country or country of practice
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Must have work authorization and not now or in the future require visa sponsorship
- Must be willing to relocate for the job role
- Must have reliable transportation
- Some field experience strongly preferred
- Preferred skills include analytical, multitasking, written and oral communication, initiative, self-motivation, attention to detail, interpersonal, mathematical, problem-solving, and computer skills
- Basic understanding of construction principles
- Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred
- Intermittent travel to project sites
- Short-term and long-term relocation to project sites and regional offices
- OSHA 10-hour certification
