About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the cost control team
Address contractual requirements related to cost control
Lead planning and schedule preparation for complex projects, including startup planning
Address contractual requirements related to schedule control
Perform scheduling forensics as required by the business unit
Manage a diverse team of professionals and supervise their work
Develop advanced concepts as a technical specialist
Recognize critical issues and interfaces
Confer with the project management team on project execution matters
Participate in key risk management discussions
Participate in and potentially lead claims issues
Manage controls functions from home office to site as appropriate
Supervise subcontract administration when assigned
Ensure compliance with Field Project Controls Manual tools and processes when applicable
Ensure startup planning has the appropriate level of detail when applicable
Collaborate with project management leadership to ensure project success
Handle performance management and potentially hiring, discipline, and pay administration

Requirements

What you’ll need

Four-year Bachelor's degree with ten or more years of relevant Cost Control or Planning & Scheduling experience OR no four-year Bachelor's degree required with twelve years or more of relevant Cost Control or Planning & Scheduling experience in Home Office or Field Office
Relevant experience in cost control or planning and scheduling
Ability to lead a medium- to large-sized EPC project in both Home Office and Field settings preferred
Master's degree or local equivalent in Engineering or Construction Management preferred
PMI or AACE certificate preferred
Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search
Ability to work at a construction site, including heights above 5 feet, stairs, ladders, scaffolds, uneven areas, confined spaces, and shifts up to 12 hours
Ability to undertake domestic or international travel as required
