About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform real-time operations of distributed asset power generation technologies in the Remote Operations Center
  • Interface with site O&M teams, site owners, regulatory agencies, and B&V leadership to identify, diagnose, and resolve operations and maintenance problems
  • Communicate with clients and internal team members to maintain contractual obligations
  • Follow scheduled energy dispatch instructions
  • Follow processes and procedures for site-specific projects and the Remote Operations Center
  • Stand watch in rotational shift work coordinated with the ROC Manager
  • Assist Monitoring & Diagnostics teams with predictive analytics for proactive monitoring of power generation, renewables, process industries, and generation assets
  • Use control applications, standards, and document control processes in support of remote operations
  • Document and track maintenance-related work
  • Help mentor and develop less experienced team members
  • Report to the ROC Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma Required
  • 2 or more years of Operator related work experience
  • Previous operations experience related to Battery Storage, Solar, Wind, Simple Cycle Thermal Generation, or Combined Cycle Thermal Generation
  • Control Room Operator experience preferred
  • Basic industry knowledge and technology trends
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Power Plant systems and processes
  • Basic knowledge of NERC responsibilities
  • Basic knowledge of construction and constructability practices and principles
  • Ability to complete pre-employment requirements, which may include criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search
  • Skills in Microsoft Office applications and various HMI and operating platform software
  • Intermediate knowledge of distributed energy systems and control applications
  • Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including days, nights, holidays, weekends, and storm coverage
  • Ability to work in a typical office environment with prolonged sitting and computer use
  • Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail throughout the shift
