About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, and maintain X-ray and other medical imaging equipment
  • Service, install, evaluate, and maintain medical imaging equipment across the United States
  • Resolve advanced electronic, mechanical, computer, and network-related issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance and run tests or diagnostics to verify repairs and calibrations
  • Work independently in the field at hospital and clinic sites
  • Represent the company professionally during on-site customer visits
  • Communicate customer feedback to internal teams
  • Provide project updates, technical insights, and responses to technical inquiries
  • Document new processes and train end users
  • Expand technical knowledge and contribute to engineering competency
  • Load, transport, and deliver parts and equipment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1–7 years’ experience in medical imaging engineering or equivalent
  • Preferred field service experience with medical imaging equipment, specifically X-ray, mobile/portable X-ray/C-arm, and/or Rad rooms
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, initiative, and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills
  • Flexibility, professionalism, and mature decision-making
  • High attention to detail and reliable follow-through
  • Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, diagnostic software, hardware troubleshooting, and database entry/management
  • Meet driver eligibility requirements; minimum age 21 under company vehicle policy
  • Ability to drive frequently, transport parts/equipment, and operate vehicles safely
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and work in varied environments
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds; heavier lifting may require assistance or mechanical aids
  • Manual dexterity for tools, small components, and electronic parts
  • Visual acuity and color perception to read schematics, calibrate equipment, and identify wiring or indicators
  • Ability to wear required PPE and comply with hospital health and safety requirements
