About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver technical service and support to medical imaging customers
- Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, calibrate, repair, and maintain X-ray and related medical imaging equipment
- Service, install, evaluate, and maintain medical imaging equipment across the United States
- Perform preventive maintenance and resolve electronic, mechanical, computer, and network-related issues
- Ensure equipment meets OEM specifications, operational standards, safety standards, and customer expectations
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues independently in the field
- Represent the company professionally during on-site hospital and clinic visits
- Communicate customer feedback to internal teams
- Expand technical knowledge and contribute to engineering competency
- Provide project updates, technical insights, and responses to technical inquiries
- Document processes and train end users
- Run tests and diagnostics to verify updates, calibrations, and repairs
- Load, transport, and deliver parts and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Preferred 1–7 years’ experience in medical imaging engineering or equivalent
- Preferred field-service experience with medical imaging equipment, specifically X-ray, mobile/portable X-ray/C-arm, and/or Rad rooms
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, initiative, and diagnostic abilities
- Clear verbal and written communication and relationship-building skills
- Flexibility, professionalism, and mature decision-making
- High attention to detail and reliable follow-through
- Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office, diagnostic software, hardware troubleshooting, and database entry/management
- Frequent driving (30%+), loading, transporting, and delivering parts/equipment
- Must meet driver eligibility requirements and be at least 21 years old
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and move through work environments for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds; heavier lifting may require assistance or mechanical aids
- Manual dexterity with tools, small components, and electronic parts
- Visual acuity and color perception sufficient to read schematics, calibrate equipment, and identify wiring or indicators
- Ability to wear required PPE and comply with hospital health and safety requirements
- Ability to safely operate vehicles, drive for extended periods, and work around machinery, noise, and hazardous materials
