About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide fuel cell service during field visit dispatches
- Operate a service vehicle safely
- Create daily workflows from scheduled tasks and work autonomously
- Manage on-site preventive maintenance, repair, testing, and diagnostic tasks
- Follow company procedures and protocols
- Diagnose technical errors and implement appropriate solutions
- Cooperate with technical teams and share information across the organization
- Comply with customer access requirements
- Maintain the service vehicle and spare-parts inventory
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships
- Produce timely, detailed service reports
- Perform other assigned responsibilities
- Attend two initial training sessions of up to four weeks each in Sunnyvale, CA
Requirements
What you’ll need- Required to reside within the Service District
- High school diploma & 6 years’ experience in electrical, process controls, or electro-mechanical fields; OR technical diploma, Journeymen Certification, or Electrician Certification in a technical field and 4 years of relevant industry experience; OR 5+ years of relevant commercial electrical experience combined with electrical-related military experience
- Strong electrical troubleshooting/diagnostic skills
- Familiarity with OSHA and NFPA 70E safety standards
- Prior experience with three-phase systems, uninterruptible power supplies, electrical generation and distribution systems, power electronics, automatic transfer switches, or microprocessor-based control platforms
- Experience with electrical/electronic test and measurement equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams and blueprints
- Experience performing equipment maintenance according to ANSI/NETA standards for Electrical Power
- Mechanical system troubleshooting and repair aptitude
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate sound judgment
- Effective written and verbal English communication
- Ability to execute written and verbal procedures and sequenced work instructions
- Ability to regularly handle equipment up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to reach, squat, bend, and twist during the workday
- Ability to use a ladder or stepstool regularly
- Ability to facilitate 24x7 on-call duty and shift work as needed
- Ability to work alternative schedules, including one week per month of Wednesday-Sunday
- Ability to support overtime to achieve quarterly goals
- Ability to regularly travel throughout a large Service District and occasionally to other US and international destinations
- Ability to maintain a driving record in good standing
