About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provision and manage product infrastructure across the product life-cycle, from development to production
- Develop, deploy and maintain cloud-based architectures and systems using Infrastructure as Code
- Set up logging, telemetry and alerts to monitor application performance and production systems
- Secure infrastructure and data by implementing access controls, managing secrets and enforcing network security configurations
- Automate deployments and operational tasks
- Develop scripts and playbooks for incident recovery
- Collaborate with the platform team, product engineers and algorithm developers
- Provide robust and well-documented infrastructure for deployment in products
- Provide guidance on industry best practices around design, testing, security and operations
Requirements
What you’ll need- Background in Software Engineering, IT Administration, Cybersecurity Engineering or equivalent through experience
- Experience configuring resources with a major cloud provider such as AWS, Azure or GCP, manually or using Infrastructure as Code
- Experience with Linux administration and scripting
- Understanding of the OSI network stack
- Ability to work as a team, make architectural decisions together, and provide and receive feedback
- Proficiency in an Infrastructure as Code language or framework such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Serverless Framework or Pulumi
- Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman or Kubernetes
- Experience or interest in DevOps and CI/CD
- Experience with Bash and/or Python
- Practical approach to prototyping: build the golden path first, then refine it to cover remaining use cases
- Preference for understandability over elegance
- AWS certification in Cloud Computing, Security, DevOps, Development or Networking is a bonus
- Work experience in a healthcare environment is a bonus
- Experience with standards and frameworks such as SOC2, ISO 62304, HIPAA, ISO 13485, HITRUST or MDR is a bonus
- Junior to mid-level experience
- Interest in building and maintaining cloud infrastructure, automation, monitoring and secure production systems
- Understanding of cybersecurity and compliance in healthcare
