About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define and maintain enterprise architecture principles, reference architectures, and standards across application, data, integration, security, and cloud domains
  • Develop target-state architectures and multi-year roadmaps aligned to business capabilities, risk posture, and investment priorities
  • Lead architecture governance, including reviews, exceptions, and decision records
  • Ensure solutions are compliant, secure-by-design, and operationally ready
  • Provide end-to-end solution architecture for initiatives, including application design, integration patterns, data flows, identity, and security controls
  • Guide application modernization and platform adoption, including API-first, event-driven, and containerization approaches
  • Shape cloud architecture guardrails covering landing zones, networking, identity, logging/monitoring, and cost governance
  • Define data architecture direction to enable analytics and AI use cases
  • Partner with Information Security and Compliance on threat modeling, least privilege, encryption/key management, and regulatory requirements
  • Evaluate technologies and vendors and recommend adoption, consolidation, or retirement
  • Mentor architects and engineering teams
  • Promote CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, testing, observability, and continuous reduction of technical debt

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in progressively responsible IT roles required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an architectural role performing design, development, and support of enterprise systems required
  • Ability to define and govern enterprise architecture across application, data, security, integration, and cloud domains
  • Strong architecture communication skills, including diagrams, models, and decision records
  • Experience developing target-state architectures and roadmaps
  • Broad cloud architecture proficiency; Azure preferred
  • Security architecture knowledge including IAM, threat modeling, encryption/key management, secure SDLC, and privacy/regulatory compliance such as HIPAA
  • Application and integration architecture expertise, including API-first, event-driven patterns, and messaging
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems
  • Data architecture and governance knowledge, including data domains, master/reference data, metadata, lineage, retention, and quality
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automated testing, and operational readiness practices
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority, mentor teams, and facilitate cross-functional decisions
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and modeling approaches such as TOGAF, Zachman, or ArchiMate
  • Certifications in enterprise, cloud, security, and/or data architecture preferred
  • Ability to attend some meetings, trainings, and demonstrations in person
  • May involve long periods of time working on a computer
  • Successful candidates must complete pre-employment drug screening, criminal conviction check, employment verifications, and education verification as part of a conditional offer
