Key responsibilities & impact

Gather data and prepare operational reports
Introduce process improvements through the reporting process
Enter data into existing databases
Perform low-complexity modifications to databases
Run standard reports
Provide ad hoc reporting for business operations
Monitor and send recurring reports for business areas
Conduct basic-level testing
Follow data-gathering best practices to ensure accurate and repeatable processes
Modify existing reports based on changing business requirements
Collect data for later analysis
Monitor reporting environments for performance issues
Collaborate with higher-level personnel on troubleshooting
Review existing reports and validate the need for existing and new reports
Perform other job-related duties within the scope of responsibilities
Report to Departmental Leadership and liaise with departmental leadership and other BCBSLA divisions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's Degree in Information Management Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related degree required
Four years of related experience can be used in lieu of a Bachelor's degree
1 year of experience providing operational reporting required
Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) preferred
PC skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and related software
Verbal and communication skills with the ability to interpret and communicate information with tact, diplomacy, patience, and professionalism
Ability to work cohesively in a team environment
Must be authorized to work for Louisiana Blue in the United States without employer-sponsored immigration support
Residency in or relocation to Louisiana preferred
Satisfactory pre-employment drug screening required
Background screening required
Ability to comprehend, document, calculate, visualize, and analyze
