About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop reports to track, trend, and analyze metrics for evaluating performance under value-based contracts and across the contract portfolio
- Create, modify, maintain, and enhance business processes, contracts, program data, and methodologies supporting value-based care initiatives
- Develop financial models, processes, and analytic-tool solutions for timely and accurate completion of value-based care initiatives
- Monitor and reconcile value-based care financial payment processes and performance measurements, including finance/cost and utilization
- Interpret, communicate, and present results to management in clear formats to support fact-based decision-making
- Update financial dashboards for all levels of leadership
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external client contacts, including providers, VBC partners, clinicians, vendors, BCBS Association, Blues Plans, and auditors
- Participate in internal and external audits, surveys, process and procedure documentation, system modernization changes, and related value-based care activities
- Maintain knowledge of business processes, policies, and procedures and evaluate the impact of federal and state regulatory or BCBS Association mandate changes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, analytics, business, healthcare administration, or another relevant academic field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare environment, including value-based care support, or related experience
- Strong planning, organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to work in a high-paced environment while handling multiple responsibilities and projects
- Ability to build and maintain productive working relationships
- Previous experience with alternative payment models and concepts
- Experience with Agile project delivery methodology
- High standard of performance while pursuing aggressive goals
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and make recommendations with incomplete or conflicting information
- Ability to meet or exceed departmental attendance and timeliness requirements
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain positive relationships with staff, departments, and customers
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
- Intermediate proficiency with visualization tools such as PowerBI
- Ability to collaborate with team members and business stakeholders at all organizational levels
- Ability to make timely decisions with incomplete information and under tight deadlines
