Event Service Specialist

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Implement, manage, and monitor corporate sponsorships, events, conferences, webinars, and meetings
- Support FEP enrollment and retention goals through marketing strategies
- Develop, plan, and implement field schedules and marketing strategies for FEP Open Season
- Welcome current members and educate them on plan benefits and features
- Manage CRM activities in Saleshub and meet annual field activity goals
- Manage promotional inventory, event materials, giveaways, banners, and attire
- Activate company sponsorships, meetings, conferences, webinars, and events
- Develop talking points, make outbound calls, and follow up on leads and referrals
- Recommend and test ideas to improve member and ABO satisfaction and ROI
- Collaborate with Marketing and other divisions on event content and meeting design
- Complete post-event reconciliation and present project results to leadership
- Manage event budgets and forecast obstacles or opportunities
- Serve as an FEP subject matter expert and resource to internal partners
- Develop marketing and communication materials including sales kits, brochures, one-sheets, letters, PowerPoint presentations, and giveaways
- Maintain relationships with Arizona federal agencies through customer service
- Monitor government regulations, FEP bulletins, and required reporting
- Travel to federal agencies and attend Open Season activities, conferences, conventions, and public relations events
- Understand FEHBP and FEDVIP benefits and eligibility/enrollment issues
- Monitor competition and marketplace activity and report findings to the FEP team
- At Level 2, analyze complex data, prepare leadership insights, lead cross-functional projects, advise on event marketing content, identify business opportunities, and support annual enrollment goals
- Work with a marketing lead/manager under general supervision and high-level direction
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3 years of experience in customer service at a health plan or in marketing or sales (Level 1)
- 5 years of experience in customer service at a health plan or in marketing or sales (Level 2)
- High-school diploma or GED in general field of study
- Active, current, and unrestricted State of Arizona license to sell health insurance
- Valid Arizona driver license with acceptable driving record
- Knowledge of policies, procedures, products, and guidelines necessary to communicate with customers
- Intermediate skill with office equipment, word processing, spreadsheet, database software, and PowerPoint
- Intermediate PC proficiency
- Ability to communicate effectively in group and one-on-one settings
- Confidentiality and privacy skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to compose and dictate business correspondence
- Ability to interpret and translate policies, procedures, programs, and guidelines
- Investigative and analytical research skills
- Ability to navigate, gather, input, and maintain data records in multiple system applications
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to understand customer and potential customer needs
- Sound business ethics and high performance standards
- Preferred: 3 or 5 years of experience specific to the Federal Employee Program
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in account management
- Preferred: 1 year of experience in a sales capacity
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in marketing or related field
- Preferred: Advanced PC proficiency
- Preferred: Advanced knowledge of market dynamics and sales techniques
- Must reside and work within the State of Arizona
- Travel to federal agencies, including overnight travel and some weekends
