About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and implement high-performance integrated solutions spanning multiple application and technology platforms
Develop architecture design documents for in-house and vendor-based applications within the enterprise architecture
Oversee technical design and development of complex projects from concept through completion
Evaluate technology and market trends and recommend innovative architecture solutions
Create and share architecture and design artifacts explaining intent and rationale
Design security controls to protect networks, applications, and data
Collaborate with implementation teams to align plans with delivered solutions
Propose effort projections, functional breakdowns, phases, features, user stories, and technical resource plans
Educate and influence stakeholders on roadmaps, strategies, standards, and solutions
Participate in architectural reviews and ensure adherence to technology standards
Review system designs and recommend improvement opportunities
Facilitate communication between IT teams and business stakeholders on technical issues and major changes
Serve as a technical domain subject matter expert
Educate, coach, mentor team members, and provide performance feedback to managers
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

What you’ll need

3 years of experience in the industry in a similar role
7 years of experience in at least two IT disciplines in a service-oriented architecture environment
4 years of experience designing, implementing, and governing systems architecture in a complex business applications environment
Experience and background in software development and Agile methodologies
High School Diploma or GED in a general field of study
5 years of experience architecting applications in .NET and Microsoft technologies preferred
2 years of experience in cloud-based system design preferred
Experience across software development languages and platforms, infrastructure platforms, data management and database technologies, cloud and networking technologies, and security frameworks preferred
Experience applying Service-Oriented Architecture preferred
Knowledge of API, SOAP, WSDL, JSON, ESB, and XML-based solutions preferred
Experience in project management preferred
Microsoft Technical Certifications preferred
Cloud Architect Certification preferred
Strong knowledge of application security, services architecture, infrastructure technologies, software development methodologies, database design, and security architecture
Extensive experience or understanding of services technologies and standards, .NET, and Web Service Specifications
Expertise in ASP.NET, VB.NET, XML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, SQL, content management systems, and GUI development
Understanding of NoSQL, MS Dynamics CRM, microservices architecture, and Enterprise Service Bus architecture
Experience leading teams and implementing projects with business and technical participants
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects, communicate effectively, collaborate, mentor, and lead change
