About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and coordinate technology initiatives across Prosano IT, multiple technology disciplines, business functions, vendors, and system platforms
  • Manage scope, schedules, costs, requirements, and validation before and after deployment
  • Coordinate teams and disciplines to meet project requirements, deadlines, and schedules
  • Support adoption of new technology, practices, and processes
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate activities within timeframes and funding parameters
  • Track and manage projects using Gantt charts, risk registers, and project management tools
  • Create presentations for multiple levels of leadership
  • Produce governance and project documentation
  • Take projects from initial conception through final implementation
  • Define project scopes, objectives, plans, schedules, resource plans, and status reports
  • Assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority to project staff
  • Provide tactical and strategic input on planning and systems-related projects
  • Manage subcontractors and their workforces when applicable
  • Develop project artifacts such as MS Project schedules and automated dashboards
  • Improve Information Technology processes, tools, and methodologies through innovation and continuous improvement
  • Provide leadership feedback on team performance, resource needs, and delivery effectiveness
  • Oversee development and implementation of IT practices and policies
  • Support production operations and project resource planning
  • Forecast project work effort and ensure service-level agreements are met
  • Provide project management guidance and mentoring
  • Lead, instruct, direct, and review team members' work

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Technical and functional program/project management discipline experience
  • 5 years of experience in a professional environment leveraging computer technology and/or information systems and 2 years in project management
  • 8 years of experience in a professional environment leveraging computer technology and/or information systems, including risk management and remediation, and 3 years in project management (Levels 3–4)
  • High-School Diploma or GED in general field of study
  • Preferred: 5 years of experience coordinating and managing projects
  • Preferred: Experience leading cross-functional technology initiatives and delivering technology solutions on time, on budget, and to design
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project
  • Experience managing project budgets and reporting using program management software tools
  • Proven ability to deliver complex technology initiatives and solutions reliably
  • High degree of technical savvy and ability to learn new technology quickly
  • Experience in risk and issue management
  • Exposure to the health care or health insurance industry
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make independent decisions
  • Knowledge of business requirements development and user acceptance testing
  • Experience working with and managing third parties
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy
  • Preferred: Advanced knowledge of Business Objects
  • Preferred: Experience coordinating technology initiatives, application design, software development, testing, and implementation activities
  • Preferred: Understanding of project delivery methodologies, quality assurance, testing practices, and implementation processes
  • Preferred: Intermediate knowledge of BCBSAZ/Prosano Health Solutions applications
  • Preferred certifications: Agile Practitioner, CSM/Certified Scrum Master, Project Management Professional, Lean Enterprise/Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt
