About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead end-to-end implementation of medium-to-high complexity payment integrity projects
  • Plan and scope projects through implementation, launch, and post-launch analysis
  • Develop and manage project plans covering scope, timelines, resources, and budgets
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams across IT, Claims, Analytics, and Provider Relations
  • Serve as primary contact for high-visibility projects
  • Provide status updates and reports to senior leadership and key stakeholders
  • Identify, track, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies
  • Drive project execution, manage deliverables, and ensure milestones are met
  • Hold team members and stakeholders accountable
  • Define and track project metrics and KPIs
  • Report completed-project business impact to leadership

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, finance, or a related field
  • High school degree or equivalent required unless otherwise noted above
  • 5+ years of direct, hands-on experience in project management
  • Experience leading complex, large-scale, and highly visible projects
  • Proven track record implementing projects within healthcare payment integrity or claims processing
  • Expertise in project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall
  • Proficiency with Jira, Smartsheet, or MS Project
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams
  • Ability to report effectively to senior management
  • Understanding of the project lifecycle and implementation of business and technology solutions
  • Preferred: experience with Lean or Six Sigma
  • Preferred: strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
  • Preferred: knowledge of medical coding, billing, and reimbursement methodologies
