About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Deliver technical data support and innovative solutions for Actuarial financial data systems and Marts
Lead and coordinate business requirements identification and solution delivery for accurate financial data
Develop complex decision support data solutions, data extracts, reports, data marts, and analyses across the full development life cycle
Perform monthly data refreshes, validations, automations, and quality assurance checks for executive financial reporting
Maintain and optimize Actuarial Systems Data Marts
Serve as lead for application areas including data definitions, file structures, code structure, business rules, and requirements
Analyze business challenges, develop and implement recommendations, and communicate impacts and results
Establish vendor and interdepartmental relationships to ensure financial data accuracy and completeness
Ensure granular financial data is auditable, snapshotted, and stored for quarterly and year-end audits
Provide analytical support for departmental, divisional, and corporate projects
Lead development of data solutions and analyses through requirements, specifications, technical reviews, user acceptance testing, and project meetings
Coordinate work and provide direction, assistance, and training to peers and junior staff
Provide technical leadership and data expertise to project teams and other business activities
Act as liaison with business areas during development and implementation
Provide configuration expertise and communicate with customers and business partners through verbal, written, electronic, and presentation formats

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (where required), or 10+ years of experience in lieu of degree
8+ years of experience in related fields
5+ years of SQL Development/Analysis experience (Highly preferred)
5+ years’ experience with medical claims, Pharmacy/medical rebate data (Highly preferred)
Facets experience a plus
Experience leading project teams
Experience with Snowflake
Experience with AWS cloud environments
