About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Engineer physical and cloud-hosted data center infrastructures across network, compute, storage, platform, middleware, database, and telephony domains
Analyze current and future requirements and design data center infrastructure, networking, and telephony systems
Develop and maintain technical standards, procedures, documentation, and lifecycle plans
Compile and analyze operational data and direct proof of technology for new or modified designs
Plan, design, engineer, and maintain enterprise Elastic Stack solutions
Serve as technical SME for Elastic architecture, upgrades, performance, capacity, ingestion, integrations, and troubleshooting
Develop enterprise logging, search, analytics, dashboards, alerting, and observability solutions
Design and support integrations across applications, infrastructure, databases, networks, and cloud environments
Develop automation for platform administration, onboarding, configuration, and efficiency
Partner with IT teams to define logging and observability requirements and provide technical guidance
Resolve complex production issues and improve platform resiliency and performance
Evaluate emerging observability technologies and contribute to monitoring strategy
Provide technical direction and assistance to less experienced team members

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree (where required), or 7+ years of experience in a related field in lieu of degree
5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, monitoring, logging, observability, or a related field
Hands-on experience with Elastic Stack, including Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana
Experience with enterprise logging, data ingestion, monitoring, or observability solutions
Strong infrastructure, Linux, and troubleshooting skills
Experience with Elastic Agent, Beats, APIs, scripting, and automation (bonus)
Experience with Datadog, Instana, OpenTelemetry, or other observability technologies (bonus)
Experience supporting AWS or Azure environments (bonus)
Familiarity with ServiceNow integrations, AIOps, or AI-assisted observability (bonus)
